OS/2 eZine

16 August 2000

Christopher B. Wright is the Editor in Chief of OS/2 eZine, a title he tried to duck for many months with little success. When he's not working on OS/2 eZine (what? he's not supposed to have any other jobs!) he works on his web comic strip, Help Desk.

From the Editor

Summer's finally caught up to us, and August found us a bit short staffed... and so we find that the August issue of OS/2 eZine is a bit late, and that a disproportionate number of articles are written by none other than yours truly, Christopher B. Wright.

In every voluntary effort there will always be a time when things just don't pull together the way you planned. In this case, I only had a few people available to contribute this month and didn't have enough time to bring other people in. Fortunately, over a span of many, many months I've been collecting the reviews I always intended to finish someday but was never quite able to... so in the next few days you should see reviews of ICQ for OS/2 (which should have appeared in the last issue, but I'm a bonehead so it didn't), Simplicity Professional, Midistation for OS/2, and at long last my review of Lotus SmartSuite 1.5.

With any luck at all, I'll be attending Warpstock next month. Due to the relative closeness of Warpstock to our regular publication date, there is every possibility that OS/2 eZine will be a few days late next month as well. I hope you can all understand that, and if everything works out I hope to be able to see you all in Philadelphia.

If I were Stan Lee, I'd say "Excelsior!" -- but I'm not. Instead, I'll say "please click the 'next article' link and have a nice day."
