Many of our readers come to us on the Internet from various corners of the world. Some souls, however, shun the chaos that is the 'net (despite the corner of sanity found here at e-Zine! ) in favour of a well organized, one-stop-shopping on-line service. There are arguments to be made for and against using these services as opposed to the 'net and each one differs in what it offers and what it specializes in. One thing is certain however; at least here in North America users will pay substantially more to belong to one of these services than they would for basic Internet connectivity.

So our reviewers hit the phones and started digging to see what's out there. While Macintosh and Windows 95 users have their own services (eWorld and MSN), we OS/2 users are forced to get our on-line fix from one of the general service providers. Below is a sampling of what you're likely to find in your on-line journeys. Some services were not reviewed for various reasons (Prodigy assured us that the nearest local call to the e-Zine! offices was in the US while we're in Canada) but below you will find the good and bad on the major players. Whether you decide to stay on the Internet or forsake it, don't forget to come back and visit!
